Police arrest top militant Abu Hanzalla in Kashmir

Kulgam, June 20 (ANI): Police arrested a top militant on Friday from a hideout in Jammu and Kashmir state, said a senior officer. Acting on intelligence input, police launched a joint operation with army and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to nab Abu Hanzalla, one of the commanders of Lashkar-e-Toiba, in Kulgam District. Hanzalla, who hails from Multan city of Pakistan, is involved in a series of killings. The militant from Punjab province of Pakistan was active in south Kashmir since past two years and was deputy of the most wanted LeT chief in Kashmir Abu Qasim. Jun 20, 2014

Akhilesh announced the expansion of women’s helpline 1090 to ensure the safety of women in the state. BJP condemns Maharashtra govt over Campa Cola society crisis, Congress defends

New Delhi/ Mumbai/ Nagpur, June 20 (ANI): In the row of Campa Cola society crisis in Mumbai, BJP leaders condemned the ruling Congress-NCP government in the state for not taking appropriate steps. BJP leader Kirit Somaiya said that the government made laws to save the builders but did not do anything for the welfare of middle class people. Politicos react over MHA making Hindi as official language

New Delhi, June 20 (ANI): Political leaders on Friday reacted over the MHA's decision of making Hindi as the official language. Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir Omar Abdullah said that the official language in his state is Urdu and English and if anyone wants to use Hindi will be allowed but no one will be forced to do so. CPI (M) leader Brinda Karat said that the decision by the new government is wrong about giving official language in Hindi language only.
