RJD extends outside support to JD (U) in Bihar

New Delhi/ Patna, May 22 (ANI): The RJD in Bihar has extended outside support on Thursday to the current government run by JD (U). JD (U) leader KC Tyagi has said that the support will be welcomed as it is a fight against communal forces. RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav stated that the entire previous election was communalized and this alliance will be a fight against it. He added that this will not be an end to the fight which has begun. Meanwhile, RJD leaders Manoj Jha and Abdul Bari Siddiqui said that RJD will extend outside support to JD (U) as a fight of gaining respect for forces of social justice. May 22, 2014

Won't leave India: UR Ananthamurthy on getting threatening calls post his anti-Modi remarks

Bangalore, May 22 (ANI): Veteran Kannada writer UR Ananthamurthy on Thursday said that he won't leave the country, after allegedly receiving threatening calls from some BJP workers. He said that Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi needs to take care of the intolerance prevailing in the parivar (RSS). Ananthamurthy said that this is what he was afraid of and that they should not have held on to a small lapse. Milind Deora, IUML take aim at Rahul for poll debacle, politicos react

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): In the first open criticism from within the Congress after the party's disastrous defeat, former union minister Milind Deora took aim at party vice president Rahul Gandhi. Deora said that Rahul Gandhi's advisers did not have their "ears to the ground" and those with "no electoral experience" were "calling the shots", but added that "the people who take the advice also have to bear responsibility". In addition, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) became the first UPA ally to blame Rahul for the rout of the coalition in the Lok Sabha elections.
