Water ATMs reinvented to provide mineral water at cheap rates

Kanpur, May 25 (ANI): An alumnus of IIT Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh has set up a water ATM to provide water to the common man at cheap rates. Though such ATMs themselves are not the first of their kind, being found in China already, they are quite the novelty in India. Vaibhav Bajpayee, an I.I.T. alumnus and the founder of Akshay Jal ATMs, aims to provide clean mineral water to the less fortunate at cheap rates. Tamilians protest against Modi's invitation to Sri Lankan President for inauguration

Chennai/ New Delhi, May 25 (ANI): Tamilians took to streets against invitation to Sri Lankan President Mahinda Rajapaksa by the Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi for his swearing-in ceremony. Protesters say the move has hurt the sentiments of people as well as victims of alleged war crimes. Supporters of May 17 Movement staged a protest on Sunday in Chennai against Rajapaksa who will be attending Modi's oath ceremony on Monday. Police arrest hardcore Maoist in Odisha, seize explosives

Koraput, May 25 (ANI): India's paramilitary, Border Security Force and police in a joint operation arrested a hardcore Maoist, seized explosives from him in the red corridor of Odisha. At the tip of intelligence, combing was launched in Koraput district of Odisha on Sunday to nab the red rebel, Satya Mandingi alias Malla, who was caught in the Narayanpatna area after an exchange of fire.
