Nawaz Sharif to decide on India's invitation later today: Pak Foreign Ministry

Islamabad, May 22 (ANI): Continuing speculations on whether Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif will attend the oath-taking ceremony of Narendra Modi as India's next prime minister or not, country's foreign ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam said that the decision will come later on Thursday itself. She said that on appointment of new Indian government, the nation has lot of expectations which could foster the peaceful relations between the two neighbours. Won't leave India: UR Ananthamurthy on getting threatening calls post his anti-Modi remarks

Bangalore, May 22 (ANI): Veteran Kannada writer UR Ananthamurthy on Thursday said that he won't leave the country, after allegedly receiving threatening calls from some BJP workers. He said that Prime Minister-designate Narendra Modi needs to take care of the intolerance prevailing in the parivar (RSS). Ananthamurthy said that this is what he was afraid of and that they should not have held on to a small lapse. Ananthamurthy received some unpleasant calls after the BJP-led NDA's victory last week, and has now been provided with police protection, as the former had said that he would not live in a country that is ruled by Narendra Modi, in September last year. Milind Deora, IUML take aim at Rahul for poll debacle, politicos react

New Delhi, May 22 (ANI): In the first open criticism from within the Congress after the party's disastrous defeat, former union minister Milind Deora took aim at party vice president Rahul Gandhi. Deora said that Rahul Gandhi's advisers did not have their "ears to the ground" and those with "no electoral experience" were "calling the shots", but added that "the people who take the advice also have to bear responsibility". In addition, the Indian Union Muslim League (IUML) became the first UPA ally to blame Rahul for the rout of the coalition in the Lok Sabha elections.
