Shimla, May 02 (ANI): Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde on Friday said that the Cabinet has passed decision to appoint judge for commission on snoopgate. Shinde said that the commission of inquiry was ordered much before the model code of conduct was announced. So the announcement of the name of the judge can still happen. It will not be a violation of the model code of conduct. He also targeted BJP’s PM candidate Narendra Modi by saying that when as CM he was snooping on women, then what will happen to the women of the country if he becomes PM. May 2, 2014

Moily rejects CPI's charges, says not favoring Reliance

New Delhi, May 2 (ANI): Petroleum Minister M Veerappa Moily on Friday hit back at CPI leader Gurudas Dasgupta who had alleged that Moily is favouring Reliance Industries by hiking gas price as per Rangarajan formula. Moily stated that he wants to liberate the country of any import regarding fuel so that the nation becomes self-sufficient. He further clarified that he is not working for the welfare of any particular industry because many organizations will be benefitted by his policies. Moily had earlier clarified that once the Election Commission lifts its model code of conduct on May 12 its order for the deferment of a new gas-pricing regime based on the Rangarajan formula will cease to exist and a price hike would come into effect. Politicos welcome govt's initiative to appoint Allahabad HC sitting judge to probe Snoopgate

New Delhi/ Ahmedabad, May 02 (ANI): Political leaders welcomed the government's initiative to approach Allahabad High Court sitting judge to probe into the Snoopgate case. Congress leader Kapil Sibal said that Narendra Modi is terrified by the news. He said that there was no chance of getting any results out of this case wherein the commission is set up by Modi himself. Arjun Modhwadia said that the present commission was a 'Modi saving commission' and that the central government should have appointed the judge long before. SC reconstitutes SIT to probe into black money case

New Delhi, May 02 (ANI): Supreme Court directed the central government to appoint former Justice MB Shah as chairman of Special Investigation Team (SIT), constituted to investigate cases of black money stashed in foreign banks. The court also asked the union government to furnish the list of unaccounted money holders. Suspected Bodo militants kill at least 10 people in Assam

Assam, May 02 (ANI): Suspected Bodo militants killed at least10 people in two separate incidents in Kokrajhar and Baksa districts of Assam. In the first incident suspected Bodo militants entered a house and fired indiscriminately, killing three members of a family including two women and injuring an infant in the Baksa district on Thursday night. The severely injured infant was rushed to the nearby hospital as he suffered injuries from the bullet. In the Kokrajhar district, at least 7 people were gunned down by the suspected terrorists after they opened indiscriminate fire on the civilians. May 2, 2014
