Two Maoists surrender before BSF in Odisha

Malkangiri, Oct 03 (ANI): Two rebels working for Communist Party of India-Maoists surrendered before paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) in Odisha on Friday. It is an achievement for BSF which has been trying to tackle the Maoist insurgency in Malkangiri district of Odisha. The Maoists, who have been identified as Laxman Pujari and Chaitanya Harijan, surrendered before BSF Deputy Inspector General, KV Raghavacharyulu, at a surrender ceremony at the BSF sector headquarters. L Sarita Devi defends her decision to refuse bronze medal at Asiad, says it was for India

New Delhi, Oct 03 (ANI): Indian boxer L Sarita Devi, who has been shrouded in controversy at the 17th Asian Games at Incheon, on Friday defended her refusal to accept the bronze medal. Her refusal to accept her bronze medal on the podium went against the values of sportsmanship, Asian Games organisers had said, adding they were reviewing the incident and could take action against her. Devi refused to wear the medal when it was presented to her on October 01, taking it only in her hand before trying to drape it over another competitor who had beaten her in a fight the previous day. Devi had to settle for the bronze medal after losing her lightweight semi-final on Tuesday (September 30) to South Korea's Park Ji-na, who was declared a unanimous 3-0 winner. Pak says India inflexible on Siachen, Indian Experts react

New Delhi, Oct 03 (ANI): Pakistan foreign ministry's remark that India has never responded positively on proposals regarding demilitarisation of Siachen in Jammu and Kashmir was slammed by the Indian Experts on Friday. While addressing a briefing in Islamabad, Pakistan's foreign ministry spokesperson Tasnim Aslam had said a proposal to demilitarise Siachen and declare it as a Peace Park had cropped up during bilateral discussions in the past, but Indian policy towards resolution of this issue always remained inflexible. Aslam said the proposal was initiated to find peaceful solutions in the region where the ecosystem is getting affected due to regular conflicts. However, Lieutenant General (retired), PN Hoon, dismissed it as nonsense. Meanwhile, former director general of police, Jammu and Kashmir, MM Khajuria, said since Pakistan lost to India in terms of acquiring hold in Siachen, they have been making such comments often. 'Bang Bang' set for a grand IMAX release

New Delhi, Oct 3 (ANI): Fox Star studios is set to release ' Bang Bang' grandly in 4000 screens in India and 250 screens in the U.S. According to the Hollywood Reporter, the Hrithik Roshan and Katrina Kaif starrer film, which is a remake of Fox's 'Knight and Day,' would be the second digitally supersized Bollywood movie from the giant of a theatre after 2013's 'Dhoom: 3.'
