Narendra Modi inaugurates Supreme Court of Bhutan

Thimphu, June 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday inaugurated Supreme Court of Bhutan. Embarking on his first foreign visit since taking over, Prime Minister Modi arrived in Bhutan today. A grand welcome was accorded to him by the Bhutanese government which rolled out a red carpet and gave a ceremonial guard of honour to him. Later Modi met Bhutan Prime Minster, Lyonchen Tshering Tobgay and King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck in a bid to reassert Indian influence in the subcontinent offering financial and technical help to the small Himalayan kingdom. High tide leaves one dead in Mumbai's Marine Drive, One rescued

Mumbai, June 15 (ANI): Despite a high tide alert warning issued for Mumbai residents, two boys fell prey to huge tidal waves on Sunday. The torrential waves which have been hitting the Mumbai shore continuously for the third day left one dead in the Marine Drive area of the city while the other one was rescued. Policemen pay tribute to traffic constable who died in Moti Nagar road rage

New Delhi, June 15 (ANI): Policemen on Sunday paid tribute to late traffic constable Manna Ram who died in Moti Nagar in a road rage incident on Saturday. The traffic constable was mowed down by the accused, Raman Kant, in Moti Nagar following a heated argument, after Ram tried apprehending Kant for driving on the wrong side of the road. Trying to evade Ram, the accused dragged the constable for over 200 meters, which led to his tragic death. Jun 15, 2014

PM Narendra Modi meets Bhutan King

Thimpu, June 15 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday met Bhutanese King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuk and the two discussed an entire gamut of ties to cement the "unique and special" bilateral relationship. During the meeting Modi invited the Bhutanese King and his wife Jetsun Pema to visit India. Before the meeting when Modi arrived at the palace, he was given a warm, ceremonial welcome with a traditional dance. Police promise strict action against Khandwa gangrape victims

Khandwa, June 15 (ANI): The DIG of Women Cell in Khandwa, Raghuveer Prasad said that the accused in the shocking gangrape and abuse of a tribal woman in Khandwa region will be dealt with sternly. The DIG said that it's their job to make sure that victims of such heinous crimes are brought justice and strict actions are taken against the perpetrators.
