Pakistans prime minister Nawaz Sharif Resigns over Panama Papers Corruption Court Ruling

This is the third time Sharifs stint in office has been cut short. His government was dissolved in April 1993 by President Ghulam Ishaq Khan, however Sharif successfully challenged that decision to become prime minister again in May. He then resigned from the post in July, forcing the removal of President Khan as well.After re-election in 1997, he was then forced out by a military coup in 1999. He came back from exile to secure a major victory in the 2013 polls. This latest disqualification comes roughly a year before his term was to conclude, ending his chance of creating history by becoming the first Pakistani prime minister to complete a full five-year term in office. In a stinging blow to President Donald Trump, US Senate Republicans failed on Friday (28 July) to dismantle Obamacare, falling short on a major campaign promise and perhaps ending a seven-year quest by their party to gut the healthcare law. Voting in the early hours, three Republican senators, John McCain, Susan Collins and Lisa Murkowski, crossed party lines to join Democrats in a dramatic 49-to-51 vote to reject a skinny repeal bill that would have killed some parts of Obamacare. The setback leaves Trump without a major legislative win after more than six months in power, despite Republicans controlling the White House, Senate and House.
