Beijing, June 28 (ANI): Vice President Hamid Ansari on Saturday met Chinese Premier Li Keqiang while on his visit to the neighbouring country. The Vice President also attended the trilateral Summit Meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Panchsheel treaty at Beijing and expressed gratitude to China and Myanmar. Puri gears up for Jagannath Yatra amid traditional fervour

Puri, June 28 (ANI): Puri is all geared up to host the countless devotees arriving from across the globe to celebrate the world famous annual Jagannath Yatra or the Chariot Festival amid traditional rituals, pomp and religious fervour. This year about 15 lakh people are expected to arrive to witness the grand festival. Puri district collector, Dhiren Kumar Patnaik, said that all arrangements have been made for the smooth and secured Rath Yatra. Vice President Hamid Ansari visits Great Wall of China

Beijing, June 28 (ANI): On his third day in Beijing, India's Vice President Hamid Ansari visited the Great Wall of China, along with Minister of State for Commerce and Industry, Nirmala Sitharaman and other Indian officials. Ansari, who is on a five-day visit to Beijing, will also participate in a trilateral summit with host China and Myanmar on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Panchsheel agreement. This is the first visit of an Indian leader to China after Prime Minister Narendra Modi assumed office last month. While addressing media onboard, Ansari had said that the central government was concerned over widening trade imbalance with China, even as trade between two south Asian neighbours is increasing. Five killed in Alang recycling yard blast, injured taken to hospital

Bhavnagar, June 28 (ANI): Five labourers were killed and seven others injured in a gas leak and explosion at Alang ship recycling yard in Bhavnagar district of Gujarat on Saturday. The incident took place when the workers were breaking a ship on plot number 140 of the Alang recycling yard. The injured are shifted to nearby hospital, though a relative of the victim said that the authorities didn’t provide any help whatsoever. The police have initiated a probe into whether the rules for cutting a ship were violated in this case. Further details on cause of the blast will be clear after forensic reports come. Jun 28, 2014

Delhi Building Collapse: NDMC Mayor confirms 7 deaths, rescue underway
