Politicos react as Black Money debate likely to resume in Parliament

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Politicos from rival parties on Thursday targeted BJP government over the issue of Black Money. Parliament is likely to resume the crucial debate today. Congress party leader Manish Tewari accused BJP of fooling the nation in the Black Money issue. He said that BJP must apologize for their conduct. Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal also expressed similar sentiments. Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Raut said that political parties rarely fulfill the commitments made during the election campaign. However, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Venkaiah Naidu declining all the allegations said that the government was approachable and willing to discuss and debate on any issue. Nov 27, 2014

UGC member alleges interference by HRD Ministry, Reactions flow

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Member of University Grants Commission (UGC), MM Ansari alleged excessive interference by the education ministry in the activities of the body. These statements come at a time when Education Ministry decided to drop German language in favour of Sanskrit for over 70,000 students across 500 Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) from classes VI to VIII. BJP leader GVL Narasimha Rao said Ansari was making such statements on behalf of the Congress party. SP leader Naresh Agarwal defended the Education Minister, Smriti Irani and said she was just doing her duty. Congress leader Deepender Singh Hooda said these allegations by the UGC member should be looked into seriously. Reactions come in as SC asks to disqualify Chennai Super Kings from IPL

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Reactions come in as the Supreme Court on Thursday observed that action should be taken on the Mudgal Committee's probe report on the IPL spot-fixing scam and Chennai Super Kings team should be 'terminated without further enquiry' from the IPL tournament. Sports Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that he will comment on the same after taking a look at the report. Justice (Retd.) Mukul Mudgal, who is heading the Mudgal Committee panel said that Commitee report is under consideration and that he cannot say anything about it now. Defence Expert hails Army for indicting 9 soldiers in killing of Kashmiri youths in Budgam firing

New Delhi, Nov 27 (ANI): Defence Expert Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Raj Kadyan hailed Indian Army for indicting nine soldiers including a Junior Commissioned Officer of 53 Rashtriya Rifles for killing two youths in Chattergam Chadoora area of Budgam district on November 3. Kadyan said that this shows that Army carries on its work with full dedication and without any bias. He also said that the course of action is to be seen as to what action the Army takes. He also assured that Army will give whatever punishment that should be meted out to them. The army completed its inquiry into the firing incident in which two Kashmiri youths had lost their lives, while two others were injured and found gross violation by the jawans. Indian nurses stranded in Libya seek help to get back home

Kerala/ Libya, Nov 27 (ANI): More than 22 nurses from Kerala, who are stranded in war torn Libya without the payments, have shared their ordeal with the Indian government through a video, appealing for help to evacuate them. Nurses are crying for help to return back home to India at the earliest as they have not got their salary for the past four months. Family of a nurse Dhanya Mathew, who sent their daughter to Libya for a better future, are worried as their only shelter can be snatched away anytime if the loan they took for her studies, visa and ticket is not deposited soon. For the nurse's parents the only hope is the Indian government and the embassy officials. The nurse's family says their daughter had a chance earlier to return home but could not due to financial issues. Also, the employers had promised to increase salary, said the family. A group of 22 nurses from Kerala stranded at Benghazi in Libya have been shifted to a safe hospital but are now even finding it difficult to have basic food as they are left with no money in the strife-torn country.
