New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Indian experts on Chinese Affairs on Tuesday said that China's red flag to India's entry into the Nuclear Suppliers Group is 'the fear from their side'. China on Monday reacted coldly to strong indications that the United States would back India for a membership of the NSG. The Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying cautioned that any such move "requires very careful consideration from all member countries". Prime Minister Narendra Modi had on Sunday said President Obama has assured him of strong US efforts in support of India's full membership of the four international export control regimes at the earliest, and indication of US backing for NSG membership. Politicos offer their condolences over the demise of legendary cartoonist RK Laxman

New Delhi, Jan 27 (ANI): Politicos on Tuesday mourned the death of eminent cartoonist RK Laxman, whose "You Said It" cartoon featuring the 'Common Man' lampooned India's powerful for half a century. Urban Development Minister Venkaiah Naidu said that it is a great loss to the country. Environment Minister Prakash Javadekar also expressed his grief over the demise of Laxman. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Rathore and BJD leader Jay Panda also expressed similar sentiments. According to media reports, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis will attend the last rites of Laxman, who will be accorded the state funeral in Pune. Ten killed, at least 21 injured in Greek fighter plane crash in Spain

Spain, Jan 27 (ANI): Eight French nationals and two Greeks were killed and at least 21 people injured when a Greek fighter plane crashed during NATO training in Spain, Spanish Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy said. The F-16 crashed at about 3:20 PM shortly after taking off at a training centre in Albacete, 260 km (160 miles) southeast of the capital Madrid. The Greek fighter jet was carrying out a NATO training exercise at the Spanish base but something went wrong during the take-off. "The plane lost power, crashing into the parking area for planes, crashing into various planes that were parked there," the defence ministry said in a statement. Two pilots on board were among the dead and other pilots and mechanics were underneath the plane in the parking area, according to Spanish media reports. Laxman's daughter-in-law Usha said that his body would be taken to Mumbai city to the Common Man statue where his admirers could pay their last respects. Indian cartoonist, Sudhir Tailang said that Laxman's demise was a major loss to the cartooning world.
