Patna, Sep 15 (ANI): BJP leader CP Thakur has defended former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar in the drug scam, saying that it was wrong to point fingers at the integrity and honesty of the JD (U) leader. Reacting on the ongoing 'letter war' between Nitish Kumar and former deputy CM of Bihar Sushil Kumar Modi over the scam, the senior BJP leader said that a neutral body should hold enquiry into the matter. Meanwhile, state Health Minister Ramdhani Singh said that officials are being questioned on the same. SC asks Prashant Bhushan to reveal name of whistle-blower in Ranjit Sinha case in sealed envelope

New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Monday directed lawyer Prashant Bhushan to disclose the source of his information in the 2G scam case about CBI Chief Ranjit Sinha. The court asked Bhushan to submit the name and address of the whistle-blower in a sealed envelope. The CBI chief, defending himself, has said that 90 per cent of entries in the register are forged while some entries may be genuine. However, Bhushan said that this infringes on the privacy of the whistle-blower and therefore needs permission from the same. The court thus gave a week's time to Bhushan and the next hearing is to take place next Monday. Sep 15, 2014

New Delhi, Sep 15 (ANI): Politicos react on Monday after BJP proposed that Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) should be placed under Right to Information Act (RTI). BJP leader Sambit Patra said that BJP wants a corruption free and transparent CBI. Supporting Patra, party leader Subramanian Swamy said that even he believes that CBI should come under RTI although an additional condition can be placed allowing CBI to choose the ongoing cases which shouldn’t be placed under RTI.
