Surat, Oct 20 (ANI): In an extraordinary show of appreciation, a diamond merchant in Gujarat gifted cars and jewellery as bonus to his 491 employees ahead of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali. The merchant and owner of diamond export company Hari Krishna Exports Private Ltd., Savjibhai Dholakiya, said that his employees had worked hard and performed well and deserved the bonus. In addition to the cars, around 200 employees were gifted houses and around 500 were presented with jewellery. The employees, in their turn were deeply touched with this gesture of their employer. Visakhapatnam, Oct 20 (ANI): Volunteers of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) cleaned mosques in Visakhapatnam, after cyclone Hudhud left behind a trail of destruction when it hit the region last week. Coordinator of Visakhapatnam region of RSS, Ram Bahadur, said that the political leaders in the country had created a wrong perception that RSS is against Muslims and Christians. The volunteers were seen using electric saws to cut trees that were fallen inside the mosque complex. They were also cleaning the floors and removing broken glasses that were scattered everywhere. Kashmir flood victims urge government to start rehabilitation work

Rajouri, Oct 20 (ANI): Flood victims in Jammu and Kashmir urged the Central government to start rehabilitation work in the devastated valley on a war footing. Residents had pinned hopes on Modi government for help in bringing the flood ravaged state of Jammu and Kashmir back on track. A legislator of Rajouri region, Choudhary Zulakar Ali, appealed to the Central government to look into the matter seriously. Both Indian and Pakistani sides of the state have seen extensive flooding last month with Srinagar particularly hard hit. Hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands are homeless. A flood victim, Abdul Rasheed, also urged the government to rehabilitate the displaced people in the region. Many complain that the government has left them to their fate.
