Gujarat HC rejects Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea

Ahmedabad, Feb 12 (ANI): Activist Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in connection with an embezzlement case was rejected by the Gujarat High Court on Thursday. Besides Setalwad, her husband Javed Anand, former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri's (who was killed in Gujarat during the 2002 riots) son Tanvir Jafri are accused of misappropriating funds. They are accused of misusing funds to the tune of Rs.1.51 crore. All the accused now face arrest. Denying any misuse of funds, Setalwad had blamed political motives behind the case, say reports. Sunanda murder probe: SIT questions Tharoor again

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Congress leader and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor is presently being questioned for the second time in connection with his wife, Sunanda Pushkar's murder. The interrogation round is underway at the SIT office in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar area. Tharoor's domestic help, Narain Singh, is also likely to be questioned by the SIT today. Last week, Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon, was also interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Last month, Tharoor was interrogated at the Vasant Vihar police station in South Delhi. The police had earlier in January said that based on available evidence, Sunanda Pushkar, 51, was poisoned. A case of murder was registered on January 6. Imphal, Feb 12 (ANI): Four people sustained injuries in a grenade explosion in Imphal city Manipur. All the four wounded persons were rushed to a local government hospital. New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Atleast three people were injured after a bridge collapsed in Delhi's Pitampura area on Thursday. According to reports, two cars were trapped under the debris.
