Matchmaking event organised for differently abled in Gujarat

Ahmedabad, Oct 20 (ANI): A 60-year-old man in Gujarat has taken the initiative to help disabled people find love and choose their life partners to embark on a new journey. Natubhai Patel is playing matchmaker to the differently abled people as they are alienated from the society and a lot of times are not able to voice their opinion. Disabled people from across India came to the event organised for them to find a match for life in Ahmedabad. The participants were required to fill registration forms at the beginning of the event and were later called on stage one by one for introduction. Around 200 male candidates and 50 female candidates participated in the matchmaking event. Oct 20, 2014

Bhopal, Oct 20 (ANI): More than five thousand kinds of earthen lamps at display at a grand fair in Madhya Pradesh attracted many visitors ahead of Hindu festival of lights, Diwali. Earthen lamps are synonymous to Diwali as they adorn every corner of the home or even streets during the festival and add fervour to the festive spirit. The hand-made colourful lamps in various shapes and sizes were available at the fair that has been organised by state government’s handloom and handicrafts department. Artisans from 24 districts of the country are displaying their work at the fair in Bhopal city. Surat, Oct 20 (ANI): In an extraordinary show of appreciation, a diamond merchant in Gujarat gifted cars and jewellery as bonus to his 491 employees ahead of the Hindu festival of lights, Diwali. The merchant and owner of diamond export company Hari Krishna Exports Private Ltd., Savjibhai Dholakiya, said that his employees had worked hard and performed well and deserved the bonus. In addition to the cars, around 200 employees were gifted houses and around 500 were presented with jewellery. The employees, in their turn were deeply touched with this gesture of their employer.
