Court to pass order on framing of charges in 2G Case on Oct 31

New Delhi, Oct 20 (ANI): Lawyer Vijay Agarwal on Monday said that the special court of CBI Judge OP Saini in the Enforcement Directorate case of Prevention of Money Laundering Act was fixed for the decision on whether the charges have to be framed against the 19 accused in the case. He added that due to legal issues involved in the case are numerous and the number of accused is 16, hence, the court has adjourned the hearing of the case till 31st October. Oct 20, 2014

J and K hospitals get solar power plants

Ganderbal, Oct 20 (ANI): In an attempt to provide 24x7 health care facilities available on all public health care centers, the government installed solar power plants in the hospitals in Ganderbal, some 37 kms from Srinagar city in Jammu and Kashmir. The plant which is charged by the sunlight provides regular electricity to the hospital. The plant has been installed at the cost of rupees 43 lakhs with the funding from the central government. Doctors say that they are now able to run the operation theater round the clock and are ready to take up any emergency. The locals are happy as they are getting round the clock health facilities and other procedures. The government is planning to install this solar system in other hospitals as well. Oct 20, 2014

Families of policemen killed by rebels honoured in Jharkhand

Ranchi, Oct 20 (ANI): Family members and relatives of over 335 police personnel who were killed by Naxals in Jharkhand were honored at an event organized by the state police. The event called 'Shahid Samman Samaroh' (martyr honor programme) was held at the grounds of the Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) in Ranchi. Family members of the deceased personnel of paramilitary Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) were also honored on this occasion and their problems were also heard by the state police officials. Director General of Police (DGP), Jharkhand, Rajiv Kumar, said they will be with the families of the killed policemen in their thick and thin and will make sure that they face no trouble.
