According to WNCN, a fisherman was attempting to reel in the 6ft-long shark near Johnnie Mercer Pier on the evening of June 29. Two other men venture into the sea to help reel in his catch. But when one of the men tried to grab the shark and amp;#39;s fin, the animal whipped around and bit his lower arm. Further footage and pictures, uploaded to Facebook the following day, showed people trying to release the shark after it had been pulled to the beach. An inquiry into historic child abuse on the island of Jersey found a catalogue of failures in its care system spanning several decades, according to findings published in a report on Monday (July 3).The inquiry, led by Frances Oldham QC, heard 553 offences took place between 1947 and 2004.
