David Bowie: Fans lay flowers at Ziggy Stardust plaque in London

David Bowie fans began to lay floral tributes in London on 11 January, just hours after news broke confirming the singers death. Bowie died on 10 January, aged 69, after an 18-month battle with cancer. Fans and media started arriving at 23 Heddon Street in Londons West End, where a plaque commemorates the spot where Bowie posed for the cover of his iconic album The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and The Spiders From Mars. Elvis Aloha from Hawaii guitar sells for $270,000 at auction

A 1969 Custom Gibson Ebony Dove guitar played by Elvis Presley at his Aloha From Hawaii concert in 1973 was auctioned for $270,000 (£184,670) on 7 January at the late singers Graceland home in Memphis. The guitar was expected to fetch between $300,000-500,000, according to organisers. Jan 8, 2016
