Tripura, June 07 (ANI): A Border Security Force (BSF) constable reportedly committed suicide after killing a 60-year-old man along Tripura's border with Bangladesh following a quarrel with locals. At least 11 others including a woman received bullet injuries. According to angry villagers, the squabble started when security personnel of BSF stopped an elderly villager Ismile Mia from going to a pond situated next to the barbed wire border fencing in South Ramnagar in Agartala. Guwahati, June 07 (ANI): Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju on Saturday visited Guwahati city in Assam to pay tribute to a Superintendent of Police and a policeman who was killed by a militant outfit. Rijiju, accompanied by state Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, paid homage to the martyr. He visited the state following the directive of Home Minister Rajnath Singh following the killing of the senior officer. The Karbi Peoples' Liberation Tigers (KPLT) militants killed a Superintendent of Police and another policeman in Assam's Karbi Anglong district on Thursday during police action. Defence Minister Arun Jaitley visits Western Naval

Mumbai, June 07 (ANI): Defence Minister Arun Jaitley on Saturday visited Western Naval Command to review the operational preparedness. Jaitley may get to see the salvaged INS Sindhurakshak submarine during his visit, which had sunk on August 14 last year after an explosion. During his visit to the Western Command, Jaitley will also commission two fast-attack craft ICGS Achook and ICGS Agrim, of the Indian Coast Guard. This is Jaitley's maiden visit as Defence Minister.
