MK Alagiri suspended from DMK by father

New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): DMK chief M Karunanidhi on Friday expelled his son and Former Union Minister M K Alagiri from all posts of the party. In a statement issued by the DMK, the party said that action against Alagiri has been taken for going against the party stand and for giving out statements contrary to party in the public domain. Indian truck drivers urge govt to resume cross border trade with Pak

Poonch, Jan 24 (ANI): Truck drivers in Kashmir urged the government to take steps to resume the cross-LoC (Line of Control) trade that has been suspended by Pakistan over the past few days in the disputed valley. Reportedly, the suspension was in retaliation to the arrest of a Pakistani truck driver, who was detained by the Indian security forces while allegedly trying to cross the border with 114 packets of brown sugar.
