New Delhi, Feb 21 (ANI): Reacting on Former Lt General AK Choudhary’s statement over an alleged military coup in Delhi, which spooked the UPA government, Defence Expert Bharat Verma said that the coup was a mind game created by the then Defence Secretary Shashikant Sharma. He said that Sharma was playing with the minds of the political masters and creating gulf between the political masters and the military. Telangana: Shutdown in Andhra Pradesh

Lawmakers passed a bill to create India's 29th state on Thursday, despite mayhem in the parliament, as opponents made a futile last attempt to stop the Rajya Sabha from carving out landlocked Telangana from the coastal Andhra Pradesh. Security was beefed up in Vijayawada district and the shops remained closed in protest against the passing of Telangana Bill. The residents slammed the central government over their decision on Telangana and said that it was one-sided decision. Kolkata pays homage to language heroes on International Mother Language Day
