Modi led government completes three months in office

New Delhi/ Uttar Pradesh, Aug 26 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government completed three months in office on Tuesday. Modi was sworn-in as prime minister of India on May 26 at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The ruling BJP came to power after it won a whopping 282 out of 543 seats in the Lok Sabha, ousting out the Congress party which had been in power for ten years. Sushma Swaraj chairs regional Indian Heads of Mission meeting in Hanoi

Hanoi, Aug 26 (ANI): External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj today chaired a meeting of Indian Heads of Mission in Vietnamese capital Hanoi. She is on a three-day visit to Vietnam and had earlier met the President and Prime Minister of Vietnam. The External Affairs Minister said India is working on its "Act East" policy, and added that she has discussed the way forward on bilateral ties with the Vietnamese leadership, especially in the fields of education, textiles, agriculture and natural resources. Indian heads of mission in East Asian countries were also instructed on New Delhi's approach to promoting bilateral relations in the region. President Pranab Mukherjee is expected to undertake a state visit of Vietnam next month, while the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Nguyen Tan Dung, will visit India at the end of the year. Aug 26, 2014
