BS Hooda attacks BJP and Om Prakash Chautala at his Haryana rally

Jhajjar, Oct 13 (ANI): Addressing a rally in Jhajjar district of Haryana, state Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda on Monday attacked BJP and also INLD Chief Om Prakash Chautala. Hooda said that BJP had made big promises before coming to power which faded as soon as they won the LS elections. He also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that Pakistan as well as China would be given befitting reply though nothing as such happened. Security Expert raises concern over Pak's letter to UN over Kashmir and emergence of ISIS in India

New Delhi, Oct 13 (ANI): Security Expert Alok Bansal on Monday expressed concern over Pakistan Prime Minister's National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz's letter to UN asking to intervene in Kashmir issue and also on ISIS raising its head in India. Bansal said that Pakistan has always tried to internationalize the issues related to Kashmir. He said that the country wants to take advantage of the opportunity to internationalize Kashmir issue though none of the nations paid any heed to the same. Scores of Buddhists assemble for religious festival in northeastern India

Agartala/ Bodh Gaya, Oct 13 (ANI): Scores of Buddhists congregated in the historical monastery of Tripura recently to participate in the 38th 'Kathin Chibor Dan,' one of the main religious festivals of their community. 'Kathin Chibor Dan' means 'Offering of Difficult Monk Robe', an annual colourful festival. The festival is celebrated throughout the world within one month of the conclusion of 'Prabarana Purnima'. The robe that the Buddhist monks wear is known as 'Chibar' and it is believed that the donation of robes to monks is the highest sacrifice, according to Buddhism, and the occasion marks the most significant religious festival of Buddhists. He also added that this festival spreads an important message of sacrifice. Meanwhile, Buddhist monks gathered at the religious site of Bodh Gaya to offer prayers to Lord Buddha during the festival for world peace. Oct 13, 2014
