BSF detains nine Bangladeshis at international border

South Dinajpur, Oct 11 (ANI): India's paramilitary Border Security Force (BSF) detained nine Bangladeshi nationals on Saturday near the Indo-Bangladesh international border in a bid to check infiltration. BSF has tightened security in areas bordering Bangladesh in wake of bomb blast in Burdwan district in West Bengal. Two women have been arrested in connection with the explosion that left two suspected militants dead on Sunday. Police is probing the possible involvement of militant outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba and Harkat-ul Jihad al-Islami in the blast. BSF Commandant Sangram Bisal said that due to close vigilance after the blast in Burdwan they arrested the Bangladeshi nationals who were crossing the hills. Oct 11, 2014

Army says India handing infiltration activities effectively

Sopore, Oct 11 (ANI): General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Kashmir based 15 Corps of the Indian army, Lieutenant General Subrata Saha, commented on infiltration at the border while he was at a blood donation camp in Sopore town of Jammu and Kashmir. He said on Saturday (October 11) the force's counter infiltration operation has been able to deal with infiltration activities of militants quite effectively.
