It was a dream come true for the ecstatic cricket fans who went to see 'the God of cricket' live in Rohtak district. Meanwhile, former Indian cricketer, Kirti Azad said that the match practice would boost his confidence.

Rohtak/Bangalore, Oct 30 (ANI): Cricket buffs were all cheer and praise as Indian batting maestro, Sachin Tendulkar warmed up for his farewell series against the West Indies next month as he notched up his 115th unbeaten half-century. Tendulkar, who made his international debut against Pakistan in 1989 as a 16-year-old, would play 200th Test match at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai against West Indies which is scheduled between November 14 and 18 before bringing the curtain down on a glorious 24-year international career and retiring from all forms of the game. Playing his last Ranji trophy match against Haryana, Tendulkar remained unbeaten on 55 as Mumbai notched closer to the target of 240.

New Delhi, Oct 27 (ANI): Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel became Formula One's youngest four-times world champion on Sunday after winning the Indian Grand Prix. The German drove a perfect race to secure his sixth consecutive victory this season and become only the fourth man in history to win four titles. He joins three other drivers Michael Schumacher, Alain Prost and Juan Manuel Fangio as quadruple winners, but at significantly younger age. Ferrari's Fernando Alonso, who was Vettel's nearest challenger going into the race but 90 points adrift, managed only 11th place.

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): Indian-owned Formula One side Force India will reportedly pay tribute to retiring batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar through their cars during Sunday's Indian Grand Prix. Force India said that it would have the words 'masterblaster' inscribed on the nose of its cars as the team also 'aims to be a big hitter in the world of sport' like the Little Master. Tendulkar, who made his debut in 1989 at the age of 16, announced that he plans to retire from international cricket after playing a record 200th Test against West Indies on his home ground in Mumbai next month.

New Delhi, Oct 26 (ANI): On 14th October, the final match of Under-14 Subroto Cup was held at the Dr. Ambedkar Stadium in New Delhi. Mizoram and Assam fought a tough match, before the former overpowered the latter by two goals to one to win the title. Mizoram performed excellently for a third time, thanks to a wonderful debut performance by the Government Chawmfianga Middle School. Teams from all northeastern states participated in the prestigious Subroto Cup tournament and performed well. Although the Assam Under-14 team failed to bag the trophy, they said they are confident and ready to work hard for the next year. Such tournaments not only promote a spirit of sportsmanship among budding players, but also promote unity and integration. The players stayed together for a month, including teams from Afghanistan and Bangladesh.
