New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): While addressing mediapersons after meeting Finance Minister Arun Jaitley, US Secretary of Treasury Jacob J Lew on Thursday said that deepening bonds with India is the key priority of the States. Lew said that the country is standing ready to be a partner with India as the later makes progress in reform programs. Discussed global economic situations and relations between two nations with US Treasury Secretary: J

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Finance Minister Arun Jaitley after meeting US treasury secretary Jacob J Lew on Thursday said that the two discussed wide range of issues including global economic situation and also relations between the two nations. Jaitley said that the two discussed money laundering and terrorism funding, among others. Earlier, the two leaders met in the presence of RBI Governor Raghuram Rajan. Gujarat HC rejects Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea

Ahmedabad, Feb 12 (ANI): Activist Teesta Setalvad's anticipatory bail plea in connection with an embezzlement case was rejected by the Gujarat High Court on Thursday. Besides Setalwad, her husband Javed Anand, former Congress MP Ehsan Jafri's (who was killed in Gujarat during the 2002 riots) son Tanvir Jafri are accused of misappropriating funds. They are accused of misusing funds to the tune of Rs.1.51 crore. All the accused now face arrest. Denying any misuse of funds, Setalwad had blamed political motives behind the case, say reports.
