New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Congress leader Janardan Dwivedi on Thursday clarified his earlier comments regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi, stating that his remarks had been taken out of context by the agency concerned. Dwivedi was reacting to statements made on Wednesday, where he was seemingly seen to praise Prime Minister Modi and the Bharatiya Janata Party for being the symbol of 'Indianness'. Congress slams Janardan Dwivedi, says Modi is in no way symbol of Indianness

New Delhi, Jan 22 (ANI): Congress on Thursday strongly slammed senior party leader Janardan Dwivedi for terming Narendra Modi-led BJP's victory in Lok Sabha polls as a victory of Indianness. Addressing a press conference, Party leader Ajay Maken minced no words to express party's strong disapproval of Dwivedi's views. He said that the party's views on Indianness is totally opposed to what Dwivedi had expressed. Quoting Swami Vivekananda and Indira Gandhi, Maken said that Narendra Modi is in no way a symbol of Indianess as Congress understand it.
