Indian soldier, civilian killed in fresh ceasefire violation by Pakistan

Uri, Nov 09 (ANI): A 22 year girl and a soldier were killed in Uri sector of Kashmir as Pakistan rangers and Indian army exchanged fire in a fresh ceasefire violation. Village head Syed Mir Hussain said that the girl has been identified as Gulshan Bano, who died in the hospital after sustaining serious injury in the firing. India has, for years, accused Pakistan of backing separatist Muslim rebels in India's part of Kashmir. Pakistan denies arming the militants saying it only gives them diplomatic support in the face of human rights abuses by Indian forces. Nov 9, 2014

Vande Mataram gets a new version in Gujarati language

Vadodara, Nov 09 (ANI): National song Vande Mataram got a new version in Gujarati language and was made available online by a motley group comprising a lecturer, senate member, alumni and an artist associated with a university in Gujarat. The group linked to Maharaja Sayajirao University (MSU) in Vadodara uploaded the new version on YouTube for free download. The translator of the song, Chirayu Pandit, who is also a lecturer in the engineering department of MSU, said till now there have been at least 19 translations of the national song. Nov 9, 2014

The BRO Ganderbal district, have initiated the construction of road surface with macadam and plan to complete it before the snowfall as harsh weather conditions damage the roads and cause difficulties for commuters. The site engineer of BRO, Chander Shekhar said that the road has a lot of pot holes, which can be dangerous for drivers and can cause accidents.
