New Delhi, Jan 10 (ANI): Keeping an eye on 2014 Lok Sabha polls, Arvind Kejriwal led Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Friday began its nationwide membership drive 'Mai Bhi Aam Aadmi' without any joining fees. Speaking to reporters during the launch, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said that any Indian citizen can become a member of the AAP but only those who are given important responsibilities and positions in the party will undergo an intense scrutiny. The membership campaign will continue till January 26. AAP leader Gopal Rai will lead the membership campaign. Jan 10, 2014

Poonch, Jan 10 (ANI): Residents continued to reel under intense cold weather condition as Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir received fresh snowfall on Thursday. As the snow blanketed the region, plowing machines were deployed to clear the snow from the roads. This is the third time, within a week, that snowfall has paralysed normal life in the region, leading to prolonged power cuts and blocking arterial highway. Frequent blocking of the National-Highway, which is the arterial road link that connects Kashmir with rest of the country, due to non-stop snowfall makes life tough as essential supplies do not reach the valley on time.
