Mumbai, Jan 23 (ANI): Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam on Thursday began an indefinite hunger strike over his demand for a reduction in power tariff in Mumbai. Nirupam demanded the Reliance to remove three surcharges on its bill which are absolutely useless and to loot the people. He said that he will continue his strike till death and challenged the Reliance on its inaction in the direction. Birbhum/ New Delhi, Jan 23 (ANI): A 20 year old tribal woman was allegedly gang-raped in West Bengal's Birbhum district on the order of the village court presided by village head, who decided to punish the girl for having an affair with a boy from a different community. Media reports state that the woman was ordered to be raped by 'Salishi Sabha', a self-styled group that dispenses justice. The victim was brought for examination to a hospital when she told reporters that the men gang raped her repeatedly.
