Alexander Van der Bellen takes unbeatable lead in Austrias presidential election

Austria’s polling stations have closed following the presidential elections on 4 December. The first projection put independent candidate Alexander Van der Bellen at 53.6%, ahead of far-right Freedom Party’s Norbert Hofer with 46,4%. 6.4 million Austrians were asked to cast their vote again following the annulment of the first election in April because of irregularities in the postal votes.The final election results are expected within the next two days. Metropolitan police has released CCTV footage of a man robbing an elderly woman in East Finchley.The woman in her 80s was robbed around 3pm on 1 March in Thomas More Way.A man can be seen following her before pulling her to the ground and taking her handbag.He then fled the crime scene in a grey Volkswagen Golf.The woman was taken to hospital with injuries to her face and knee.
