New Delhi, Jan 11 (ANI): BJP and AAP on Sunday hoped for victory as polling at Delhi Cantonment Board elections ended. A total of 64 candidates are in fray for eight seats across Delhi Cantonment with Congress, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) being the major political parties contesting the elections. The counting of votes will be held on January 12. While Delhi BJP President Satish Upadhyay said that AAP has been making false claims and that BJP will emerge victorious, AAP leader alleged that the ruling party is trying to divert votes. Car rally thrills visually impaired in Bhopal

Bhopal/ Kolkata, Jan 11 (ANI): A non-profit organization organized a Blind challenge car rally for visually impaired in Madhya Pradesh to create awareness among people on Sunday. During the rally, the vehicle was driven by a person with vision but the directions were being given by the blind, who through navigator in Braille language guided them about the route and speed. The drivers had to drive on a 30-kilometre route and the directions were told by the blind. The rally saw participation of 55 cars. A visually impaired boy, Ashish Gupta, said he was quite thrilled about the concept. The challenge was not to speed or take over other cars; however, drivers were penalized for driving very slow. Participants were given certificates and first three navigators were presented with cash award and trophies. The rally was flagged off by Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Babulal Gaur. The Harris County Sheriff's Office said in a statement it did not know whether the man, who was with his son in the critical care unit at Tomball Regional Medical Center, was armed. The Sheriff's Office initially reported the man had taken two hostages, but later clarified and said that no hostages were being held.
