Ganguly on Wednesday held a press conference during which he claimed that he had resigned because it was difficult for his family to tolerate the campaign against him. However, wishing success for the young woman lawyer at the centre of the controversy, Ganguly said that he would never file a defamation case against his student and would rather go to jail.
