Charging upon Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Congress general secretary Digvijay Singh said that the nationalist Opposition party was playing 'good cop, bad cop' strategy regarding the attack at AAP office in Ghaziabad by activists belonging to a saffron outfit.

Singh condemned the attack, during which Hindu Raksha Dal (HRD) activists trespassed and vandalized the AAP headquarters by pelting stones with photos of BJP leader Dr Harshvardhan displayed on their posters.

Equating BJP with 10-face mythological character Raavan, Singh said the incident was a thought out strategy by the 'multi faced party'.

"Strongly condemn attack on AAP office by BJP/Sangh activists. BJP as usual is disassociating itself. Part of their strategy. Sangh has more than 150 organisations and all have their roots in Sangh. One hand strikes and other hand applies Balm ! Multi Faced Party ! Doesn't it remind us of the Ramayan Character who had 10 Faces and one Body ?" Singh posted on his Twitter handle.

The AAP said in a release that around 30 men, including HRD activists, attacked AAP's premises against leader Prashant Bhusan's remarks on Kashmir, in which he proposed to seek referendum to ask people of J&K whether they want army for handling internal security, and Kejriwal's remarks on calling Batla encounter 'fake'.

At least 13 people, including HRD national convenor Pinki Choudhary, were arrested after AAP lodged a case against the miscreants. "Aam Aadmi Party condemns this attack. Violence in any form should not be tolerated and it can never be the solution to any of our problems," AAP said in a statement.

Bhushan also accused the BJP saying, "So-called nationalistic party, the BJP, has started unleashing its goons against the AAP. BJP and Sangh-affiliated organisations are frustrated with the rise of AAP."

"It is unfortunate that a big political party lets its associates indulge in such kind of violence. This reflects their fascist and lumpen mentality," he told PTI.

Undeterred by the attack, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal again refused to take security cover and is likely to again deny the decision by the UP government to provide him a Z-plus security consisting commandos belonging to the National Security Guard with MP5 guns, also adept in martial arts.
