Japanese firms going green to protect environment

Japan, June 10 (ANI): ORIX Corporation has been operating "Agatsuma Biomass Power Plant" in Gunma Prefecture of Japan. The plant is the country's third-largest wood chip-fired thermal power station. Agatsuma Biomass Power Plant uses 100 per cent wood chip biomass as fuel to heat a boiler. And then, using the steam from the boiler to power a turbine to generate electricity. This plant has a power generation capacity of 13,600 kW, with annual power transmission at 85 million kWh to local household and business consumers. The use of biomass resources as an alternative to fossil fuels, not only helps to reduce CO2 emissions, but also enables more environmentally friendly power generation through the use of thermal recycling technology. Suspected ISIL militants seize Iraqi City of Mosul

Iraq, June 10 (ANI): Insurgents, reportedly fighters of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) assumed full control of Mosul, Iraq's second-largest city on Tuesday. According to sources, after seize of Mosul, Terrorist organization ISIL took control over all of Mosul's government facilities, airports, central bank holding billions of Iraqi currencies. The seize came after days of heavy clashes with government forces, wherein at least 30 people were killed in a double bombing which targetted the offices of a Kurdish political party in the northern Iraqi town of Tuz Khurmato on Monday itself. A car bomb blew up at a checkpoint near the local headquarters of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) party, before a truck packed with explosives was detonated beside a wall late Monday. Rescuers continue search operation for missing students in Mandi

Mandi, June 10 (ANI): Teams of National Disaster Response Force, Indian Army and armed border force continued their search operations on Tuesday (June 10) for missing students who were swept away by gushing waters of Beas river following the discharge of water from a dam in Himachal Pradesh. Sub-Divisional Officer of Mandi and rescue team coordinator, D.R. Dhiman, said the rescue and relief operations are underway and to speedup the process the dam water level has also been reduced. Another BJP leader shot dead in UP by unknown gunmen

Muzaffarnagar, June 10 (ANI): BJP leader Omveer Singh was on Tuesday shot dead in Meerapur area of Muzaffarnagar district in Uttar Pradesh, barely days after BJP leader Vijay Pandit was killed in Greater Noida. ASF camp at Karachi airport attacked again, TTP takes responsibility

Karachi, June 10 (ANI): A day after siege ended in Karachi airport leaving at least 34 dead, heavily armed militants attacked Karachi airport again on Tuesday. The terrorists targeted the Airport Security Force (ASF) Academy at Pehalwan Goth, a kilometer-and-a-half from the airport. Following the attack, Flight Operations were suspended at Karachi Airport. Pakistan Army troops are in a state of high alert, and the troops have moved to the ASF Academy after fresh attack and all roads leading to Karachi Airport have been sealed.
