New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): Talking about the ceasefire violation by Pakistan on Friday, wherein Pakistani troops opened fire in the Mendhar sector of Jammu and Kashmir, Defence Expert Bharat Verma said that this is done to defeat Nawaz Sharif's initiative to bolster ties with India. Verma said that the acts are finalized by other groups which are stronger than the nation's prime minister. He said that PM Narendra Modi should order the army and even the intelligence agency that there should be no tolerance to any such acts. MP Nihal Chand summoned in rape case, Politicos react

New Delhi, June 13 (ANI): Reactions came in after a Jaipur Court issued a notice to Minister of state for Chemicals and Fertilisers Nihal Chand in a November 2011 case, in which he has been accused of rape by a married woman. BJP leader Siddharth Nath Singh said that the case was cleared earlier, but if in any case, there are lapses, matter will be taken into action. Members of Transgender Community pledge to donate their eyes after death

Pune, June 13 (ANI): More than 100 members of transgender community in Pune city of Maharashtra set up an example for others to follow as they pledged to donate their eyes after their death. A Pune-based non-governmental organisation, Late Shankarrao Bhoi Smruti Pratishthan, has been able to encourage more than 15000 people to fill up eye donation forms in the last 15 years. A member of the transgender community, Panna Gabrel, who was present at the donation drive, said like everyone else they also have the right to contribute to this nation. Himachal Pradesh tragedy survivors blame laxity of safety measures as cause of deaths

Social activists protest against raising Narmada Dam height by 17 meters

jGas leak in Bhilai steel plant kills at least six, leaves over 40 injured

Bhilai, June 13 (ANI): At least six people including two deputy general managers, were killed and over 40 reportedly injured due to a leakage in a methane gas pipeline at a water pump house in the Bhilai steel plant (BSP) in Chhattisgarh. Meanwhile, Steel Minister Narendra Singh Tomar expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident and ordered a high-level probe.
