New Delhi, Feb 07 (ANI): After Solicitor General Mohan Parasaran claimed Delhi Jan Lokpal bill to be unconstitutional, politicos reacted on different fronts. On one hand, JD (U) leader Ali Anwar said that the solicitor general belongs to central government and that he is speaking words of ruling Congress government. On the other hand, Samajwadi Party leader Naresh Agarwal said that Arvind Kejriwal is aware that his government is short-termed and therefore is trying to convince people that he is fulfilling his promises. J&K minister Shabir Ahmad Khan booked on molestation charges, politicos condemn

New Delhi/ Jammu, Feb 07 (ANI): Politicos on Friday condemned Jammu and Kashmir Minister Shabir Ahmad Khan who was booked by police on a complaint by a lady doctor, alleging that he made an attempt to molest her. Delhi govt order SIT probe in 1984 riots, politicos welcome move

New Delhi/ Ludhiana, Feb 07 (ANI): The Delhi cabinet approved the set up of a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots within a time frame of one year, following the suggestion by national capital government to Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. Police officers from outside Delhi would be responsible for conducting an inquiry in the case. AAP leader Sanjay Singh said this step would ensure a speedy and unbiased investigation in the case and would help in punishing the people involved in abetting the deadly riots. Indian women denied voice in decision-making: Kofi Annan

Kashmir separatist support Paks resolution, calls for self rule

Srinagar, Feb 07 (ANI): Separatists in Jammu and Kashmir hailed Pakistan’s resolution, calling upon India to remove security forces from the state and accept their right for self rule in the region. The Pakistan National Assembly on Tuesday (February 04) unanimously passed a resolution calling upon India to withdraw all security forces from the state and accept their right to self-determination. It also said that India should include the people of Kashmir in the Indo-Pak dialogue.
