Three Bangladeshis lynched to death in Tripura

Tripura, Oct 29 (ANI): Three Bangladeshis, suspected cattle lifters, were lynched to death in a village of Khowai district in Tripura. The incident is the second such in the district this year. Of the three victims, one opened fire and initially managed to escape but later all three were badly beaten by the villagers. Two of them were rescued by the police and taken to hospital where they succumbed to injuries. The third one, who was rescued later, also breathed his last in the hospital. The police have also recovered two 12 bore pipe gun cartridges from the area. The intruders are residents of Habiganj district of Bangladesh. Meanwhile, Border Security Force Deputy Inspector General BS Rawat said the bodies will be handed over to their counterparts in Bangladesh. Oct 29, 2014

Opposition parties slam Centre, welcome SC's decision on black money

New Delhi, Oct 29 (ANI): The Opposition parties on Wednesday slammed the Central Government for playing politics over black money and welcomed the Supreme Court's verdict on asking the Government for the entire list of names. Congress leader Rashid Alvi said that the Supreme Court has given a historic decision as it had realized that the Centre is playing politics over the issue. Abhishek Manu Singhvi also questioned the government's intention of not doing it earlier. CPI leader Atul Anjan said that the SC has strictly slapped the government by asking for the list of black money holders. NCP leader Majid Memon said that it appears that BJP is trying to shield certain people. Gujarat prepares for cyclone Nilofar

Gujarat, Oct 29 (ANI): As cyclone Nilofar is expected to hit Gujarat coast in a couple of days, authorities have intensified relief and rescue arrangements as precautionary measures to handle the cyclonic storm. Nilofar, classified as a 'very severe cyclonic storm', is expected to weaken to a 'cyclonic storm'when it makes landfall on the Gujarat coast, according to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel, said bad weather and heavy rainfall has been predicted for coastal regions on October 30-31. On Monday Gujarat weather office issued a high alert on the cyclone and said the storm has intensified turning into severe one. In the wake of the situation, Commander of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF), Rakesh Kumar Joon, said 60 NDRF teams have been deployed in the regions which are at high alert. Bangalore, Oct 29 (ANI): One died and four others were injured in Bangalore after an old building collapsed. Authorities rushed to the spot immediately to rescue people and clear the debris.
