Security tightens in Ramlila grounds ahead of AAP Chief's swearing-in ceremony

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Delhi Police Commissioner Police Commissioner BS Bassi on Thursday said that security arrangement have been made ahead of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal's swearing-in ceremony which is to be held in the Ramlila grounds on February 14. He added that security personnel will be deployed on February 14 so that people who will be attending the ceremony will not have to face any problems. Sunanda murder probe: SIT questions Tharoor again

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Congress leader and former Union Minister Shashi Tharoor is presently being questioned for the second time in connection with his wife, Sunanda Pushkar's murder. The interrogation round is underway at the SIT office in south Delhi's Vasant Vihar area. Tharoor's domestic help, Narain Singh, is also likely to be questioned by the SIT today. Last week, Sunanda Pushkar's son, Shiv Menon, was also interrogated by the Special Investigation Team (SIT). Last month, Tharoor was interrogated at the Vasant Vihar police station in South Delhi. The police had earlier in January said that based on available evidence, Sunanda Pushkar, 51, was poisoned. A case of murder was registered on January 6. Himachal Pradesh gets crime tracking system for effective policing

Shimla, Feb 12 (ANI): For effective and advanced policing system, a Crime and Criminal Tracking Network and Systems (CCTNS) was launched in Himachal Pradesh. The pilot project would not only help in data sharing with other states and countries, it would offer people-friendly services also like registering a complaint. Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh launched the project in capital Shimla city. Around rupees 19 crore has been spent on this project and rupees 2200 is being incurred for it in the national level. Blast in Imphal injures four

Imphal, Feb 12 (ANI): Four people sustained injuries in a grenade explosion in Imphal city Manipur. All the four wounded persons were rushed to a local government hospital. Condition of one of the injured persons, identified as Laishram Pilot (24), was said to be serious. After the explosion, paramilitary and state police team investigated the area. Lew is in India to attend the fifth U.S.-India Economic and Financial Partnership Dialogue in New Delhi. He recently met Indian business leaders in financial hub Mumbai at the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and US-India Business Council Roundtable ahead of the dialogue in Delhi that will focus on capital market reforms and economic policies between the two countries. Inauguration of Modi temple cancelled after PM expresses displeasure

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): The inauguration ceremony of the temple made to worship Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Rajkot's Kothadia village has been cancelled after his disapproving tweet on the same. According to reports, the initiator has decided to remove the idol and photograph from the site and build a "Bharat Mata" temple in its place. Modi earlier in the day had tweeted, "Have seen the news about a temple being built in my name. I was appalled. This is shocking and against India's great traditions. Building such Temples is not what our culture teaches us. Personally, it made me very sad. Would urge those doing it not to do it." At least three injured after a bridge collapses in Delhi's Pitampura

New Delhi, Feb 12 (ANI): Atleast three people were injured after a bridge collapsed in Delhi's Pitampura area on Thursday. According to reports, two cars were trapped under the debris. The injured were rushed to the nearby hospital. Reportedly, the incident took place at Madhuban Chauk at 10 am when a pillar of an under construction bridge collapsed and fell on the cars, an Alto and an Ikon. Police is investigating the matter.
