Patna / New Delhi / Bhopal, Nov 9 (ANI): Devotees across India offered special prayers, exchanged greetings and performed traditional rituals as they got together with great zeal to celebrate the Sun God festival of 'Chhath'. The three-day long festival of 'Chhath,' dedicated to the Sun God, began on Friday with thousands of devotees observing fasts and swarming to the banks of the holy rivers. The 'Chhath', celebrated on the sixth and seventh day after Diwali, is significant for married women who observe a three-day fast and stand in waist- deep river waters, and present religious offerings to the Sun God. CPI on A Raja and Sajjan Kumar seeking stay on trials citing Gauhati HC order on CBI

New Delhi, Nov 09 (ANI): Citing Gauhati HC order on CBI, former Telecom Minister A Raja has pushed for a stay on the proceedings of the 2G scam case in a Delhi court. Congress leader Sajjan Kumar too wants the court to declare as "illegal" the probe and charge sheets filed by the CBI in a 1984 anti Sikh riots case. Reacting over this, CPI leader D Raja said that if CBI was not there another investigative agency would have done the probe so there was no question of dismissing the cases against them.
