Kheda, Nov 10 (ANI): Giving every reply to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's every bit spoken in Chhattisgarh, Narendra Modi said that it is Congress who played with the bright history of the nation. He said that Congress is the party who term the 1857 war of independence as a revolt. He said that it is Congress party who disvalued many leaders who gave life for the nation and failed to bring the ashes of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee for years, who desired his ashes to be brought to Independent India after his death. Modi said that it is because of Congress that majority people don't even know the true glorious history of India.

Narendra Modi takes on Congress for partition and Chinese aggression

Kheda, Nov 10 (ANI): A day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh slammed Narendra Modi questioning on his facts about history and geography of the nation, Modi replied to every allegations and said that Congress is the party responsible for partition of the nation and for recent Chinese aggressions. Further, he said that PM should better see who changed the geographical map of India before putting allegations. Modi said that it was Congress' regime when many states and regions got cut and merged into other nations. Syed Akbaruddin on PM's letter to Sri-Lankan president Mahinda Rajapaksa

New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson Syed Akbaruddin on Sunday confirmed that the diplomatic process of informing Sri Lanka about level of Indian participation in the CHOGM submit is now completed. Indian high commission in Colombo has handed over a letter of PM to the President Mahinda Rajapaksa in which he has indicated that he will not be able to attend the submit.

British royals meet war veterans and Indian defence staff on Remembrance Day

Mumbai, Nov 10 (ANI): British royal couple Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall visited St. John the Evangelist Church on Sunday in Mumbai and met few of the war veterans and Indian Defence Staff on Remembrance Day. The British royals participated in the Remembrance Day function at the church, where they were warmly received and presented bouquets of flowers and the Army band played music blowing the pipes and beating the drums. The Remembrance Day is organized at the church every year by retired defence personnel association. Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall became the first royal couple to commemorate the Remembrance Sunday in India.

Maoist hot-bed Purulia on development path: Specially abled children get wheels to go to school

Purulia, Nov 10 (ANI): A village situated in the Maoist hotbed of Purulia district in West Bengal is poised to take off on the development path, thanks to the launch of a special development programme by the government. Authorities in the area distributed disabled friendly wheelchairs to specially abled children with a motive to make them regular at school. With an aim to empower and regularize specially abled students authorities distributed tricycles under a programme called ‘Sarva Siksha Mission’ (SSM). Tricycles were distributed to 91 specially abled children and the same would be continued in the nearby villages.

RSS organizes marathon for youth in New Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 10 (ANI): Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) organized a marathon for the youth in New Delhi to mark 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda on Sunday. The marathon, 'Run for awakening the nation', was organized at 17 different places across New Delhi. RSS spokesperson Ram Madhav flagged off the marathon and spoke about Swami Vivekananda's teachings. Madhav stressed upon his philosophies and said that the youth should contribute in nation building. Swami Vivekananda is the famed philosopher-thinker and founder of a social and religious organisation, Ramakrishna Mission.
