New Delhi, Jan 05 (ANI): Containing pre-poll violence has been a major challenge for the Awami League government in Bangladesh. Daily clashes across the country between security forces and the Jamaat cadres have crippled normal life and business activity. The BNP and Jamaat cadres are determined to create fear and chaos across the country so that people do not come out to vote. Though the results are already pre-determined since the BNP and its alliance partners have boycotted the polls. Many international observers have been critical of the polls because they feel that an election where the major opposition is not taking part is not reflective of the will of the people.
