Uncertainty in BJP over Lucknow and Varanasi seat, Politicos react

New Delhi/ Lucknow, Mar 10 (ANI): Politicos on Monday reacted to the rift in BJP over seats in Varanasi and Lucknow. Lucknow BJP MP Lalji Tandon has said that he will not vacate his seat for anyone other than party's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi. According to reports, BJP President Rajnath Singh wants to contest the Lok Sabha elections from the Lucknow seat. Speaking on the same, Congress leader Abhishek Manu Singhvi said that he don't have anything to comment on seat distribution. Further, BJP leader Kalraj Mishra said that there is no rift within the party over this issue. Meanwhile, JD (U) leader KC Tyagi said that there is a lot of uncertainty in BJP. AAP Leader Ashutosh asked BJP's Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi why does he want to contest elections from two places and that Modi is scared that he is going to lose to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal and this is the reason he wants to secure the other seat.

India offers help to trace missing Malaysian plane

Farrukhabad / Ahmednagar, March 10 (ANI): Union Foreign Minister, Salman Khurshid, said that the government has offered help to the Malaysian government to trace the missing plane with 239 people on board. Officials investigating the disappearance of the Malaysia Airlines jetliner with 239 people on board suspect it may have disintegrated in mid-flight, a source told, as Vietnam reported a possible sighting of the wreckage of the plane. Khurshid sent a condolence message on behalf of the nation. Family members of the five Indian passengers missing in the incident are anxiously waiting for any information about the fate of the plane and their near and dear ones. K V Shirsath, father-in-law of missing Indian passenger, Kranti Shirsath, said that she was on her way to China to meet her husband.

Ajit Singh seeks division of Uttar Pradesh

Amroha, March 10 (ANI): Civil Aviation Minister, Ajit Singh, sought the division of the most densely populated Uttar Pradesh into four parts for better governance. Singh, who is also chief of Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD), said that the state was so huge in terms of population that it could easily be called the sixth largest country in the world. Muzaffarnagar riots: Politicos condemn UP BJP'S plan to seek tickets for four riot-accused MLAs

New Delhi, March 10 (ANI): Cutting across political lines, leaders on Monday condemned the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit plans to seek Lok Sabha tickets for the four BJP MLAs booked on the charge of fuelling Muzaffarnagar riots. The party plans to propose fielding Kairana MLA Hukum Singh from the Kairana Lok Sabha seat, Bijnore MLA Bhartendu Singh from Bijnore, Sardhana MLA Sangeet Som from Muzaffarnagar seat, and Thana Bhawan MLA Suresh Rana from Saharanpur. The proposals will be put before the BJP central election committee meeting on March 13.

Bangladesh economist appeals to punish Pak war criminals before locals for 1971 liberation war

Dhaka, March 10 (ANI): Bangladesh economist Mahbubul Mokaddem Akash said that before prosecuting local war criminals, Pakistani atrocity makers should be punished, who are accused of genocide during 1971 liberation war and were released under Simla Agreement in 1972. The Simla Agreement was inked between India and Pakistan in July 02, 1972, which paved the way "for a diplomatic recognition" of Bangladesh. While talking to a reporter in Dhaka, Akash demanded a quicker punishment for Pakistani war criminals so as to provide a slight benefit to the Bangladeshi nationals.
