New Delhi, Mar 29 (ANI): The new BJP member Sabir Ali who joined the party on Friday, has reacted to the allegations put on him by BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi for being associated with Indian Mujahideen leader Yasin Bhatkal. Sabir Ali, on Saturday, said that he has written a letter to the Bihar unit of BJP to keep his party membership on hold until all doubts about him are cleared. Ali further said that he is ready to quit politics if any blame is proved to be true.

Rajnath Singh demands upgraded security for Modi post suicide bomber threat

Lucknow, Mar 27 (ANI): BJP President Rajnath Singh expressed concern over possible attack on BJP’s Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi, after Intelligence Bureau issued alert of suicide bomber threat. Reportedly, as per the high alert, the attack may be on the lines of assassination of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The IB reports also stated that Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, won’t be shot at, but it is likely that a suicide bomber disguised as a supporter may target him. The agencies also suspect that the attack may take place in Modi’s own constituencies of Varanasi or Vadodara.

Maoists trigger landmine blast in Odisha, injure two personnel

Malkangiri, Mar 29 (ANI): Two personnel of India's paramilitary, Border Security Force (BSF), were injured when Maoists triggered a landmine blast in Malkangiri district of Odisha province on Friday. Deputy Superintendent of Police, Pramod Kumar Bagh, said the explosive went off when the BSF personnel were conducting a search after removing Maoist posters in the mountainous area. The injured were airlifted to Malkangiri district hospital. The BSF has launched a combing operation to nab the ultras.

Congress' Imran Masood arrested for threatening Narendra Modi

Saharanpur, Mar 29 (ANI): The Uttar Pradesh police on Saturday arrested the leader and candidate of ruling Congress party, Imran Masood, who openly threatened to hack BJP's PM candidate Narendra Modi to pieces. A criminal case was registered against him on March 28 after a video of him threatening Modi went viral on the web. An FIR accused Masood, of violating the election code of conduct. Earlier, BJP spokesperson, Meenakshi Lekhi had vouched that the party will see to it that Masood's candidature is cancelled.
