Politicos hail SCs decision to put on hold Rajiv Gandhi killers release

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Political leaders on Thursday welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to put on hold Rajiv Gandhi killer’s release. The Apex court has restrained the Tamil Nadu government from releasing three convicts in Rajiv Gandhi assassination case. The Tamil Nadu government has been asked to maintain status quo till further orders. The Central Government on Thursday moved to the Supreme Court asking a stay on the Tamil Nadu Government's decision to release all the convicted assassinators of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi. The government has contended that the Tamil Nadu government cannot release the convicts since their case was investigated by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is a central agency, and hence the state has to consult the centre. Mauzzafarnagar/ New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Khap leader from Uttar Pradesh, Naresh Tikait, said the Supreme Court should not encourage marriages within the same clan and warned the high command not to interfere in these matters. Earlier, the Supreme Court has told the Centre and state governments to act promptly in cases of dishonour killings and to provide protection to couples who face such threats from khap panchayats or village councils often accused of dispensing medieval-style justice leading to murders and social ostracisation of couples. New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Reacting on BJP’s poll campaigning expenses amounting to Rs. 400 crore, political parties condemned the same and said that the public will decide on the party’s fortune. SC to hear centres review petition in Rajiv Gandhi case

New Delhi, Feb 20 (ANI): Union Law Minister Kapil Sibal on Thursday said that Centre is moving a review petition in the Supreme Court on Thursday to challenge Tamil Nadu Government’s decision to free the assassins of Rajiv Gandhi. Description: Red bean pulav Ingredients Red bean coooked - 200gms Basmati rice - 400gms Chopped tomatoes - 2 Chopped onions - 3 Green chilies - 2 Coconut milk - half cup Tomato puree - half cup Ghee Ginger- garlic paste -1.5 tsp Chili powder Coriander powder Salt to taste Cinnamon Cloves Cardamom Bay leaves Water Method 1. Pressure cook red beans and keep them separately in a bowl. 2. Pour about 1 tsp ghee in a pressure cooker. 3. Add cinnamon, cloves, cardamom, bay leaves, onions and green chilies to it. 4. Add ginger-garlic paste only after the onion becomes golden brown in color. 5. Now add tomatoes, tomato puree, cooked beans, salt, chili powder, coriander powder, coconut milk and basmati rice. (For 2 cups of rice, add 2 cups of water) 6. Pressure cook the above ingredients for about 1-2 whistle. Your red bean pulav is ready to serve.
