Bijapur, June 20(ANI): : A four-year-old girl, who fell in a 300-feet borewell in Dyaberi village near Nagatana, Bijapur, died on Thursday. Akshata's lifeless body was brought to the surface by rescuers almost 50 hours after the child's ordeal started. The incident, which sparked a massive rescue mission, happened while Akshata was walking home on Tuesday with her father, who is a farm labourer. Bijapur district incharge minister M.B. Patil refused to give details about the girl’s death, but said that case have been filed against the officials. He further said that the troops are being deployed to better assess the situation on the ground, where forces of the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria have moved ever nearer to Baghdad. He added that the US will be prepared to take "targeted and precise military action" if and when the situation on the ground requires it.
