Jaipur, July 3 (ANI): Women Rights Activist, Kavita Srivastava reacted against the Supreme Court ruling on the Anti Dowry Law. She stated that the decision, which restrained the police of all states from "automatically" arresting the accused in dowry harassment cases on the grounds of misuse, was a terrible judgment. She argued that this ruling meant the end of all arrests and subsequently the end of criminal law. Trial run for high speed Delhi-Agra train begins

New Delhi, July 03 (ANI): With an aim to ensure high-speed connectivity between the two cities of Agra and New Delhi, the trial run of the semi-high speed train, which runs at a speed of 160 kmph was conducted on Thursday. The train will cover 200km between the two cities in 90 minutes. It would comprise 10 coaches and one locomotive. At present, Bhopal Shatabdi Express is the fastest train en route, which covers the distance in 2 hours. The semi- high speed service would tentatively be launched by November. The apex court said the attitude to arrest first and then proceed with the rest is "despicable" which must be curbed and directed all state governments to ensure that police do not resort to arresting in all offences punishable up to seven- year jail term including dowry harassment cases.
