Surveys are just survey, should wait for 10th Feb for results: Kiran Bedi

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): Reacting on the exit polls predicting AAP’s victory in Delhi Assembly Polls, BJP’s chief ministerial candidate Kiran Bedi on Sunday said that surveys are just surveys. She said that people should wait for results to be announced on 10th February. Asked if she will take responsibility of BJP’s defeat in the national capital, Bedi said that she is the person who always takes responsibility. Rejecting to comment anything on predicted results of the polls, Bedi kept on emphasizing to wait for 10th for the results.

LJP Chief Ram Vilas Paswan on Bihar's political crisis

Patna, Feb 8 (ANI): Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) chief and Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan on Sunday reacted on the ongoing political tussle in Bihar. Paswan said that the JD (U) had made Manjhi a chief minister sans any power and therefore his rebellion was justified. Nitish, who was elected as the leader of JD (U) legislature party at a party meeting held in Patna yesterday, is expected to stake claim to form a new government in the state soon. On Saturday evening, Manjhi called a meeting of the state cabinet, which authorized the Chief Minister to recommend the dissolution of Bihar Assembly. But this move was strongly opposed by 20 ministers loyal to former CM Nitish Kumar. Manjhi claimed he is authorized to take a decision on dissolution of the assembly. Meanwhile, Manjhi is expected to call on Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the latter's official 7, Race Course Road (RCR) residence later in the day.

Men from Dubai, Pak 'hired' for Sunanda's murder, claims Subramanian Swamy

New Delhi, Feb 8 (ANI): Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Subramanian Swamy on Sunday alleged that Sunanda Pushkar's murder was carried out by men hired from Dubai and Pakistan, and added that former union minister and Congress leader Shashi Tharoor should undergo custodial interrogation in this case. Pushkar, who married Tharoor in 2010, had checked into The Leela Hotel in Chanakyapuri a day before her death on January 17, 2014. Tharoor's aides said the couple had checked into the luxury hotel because of renovation work at his New Delhi bungalow. Prior to her death, Sunanda was embroiled in a spat with Pakistani journalist Mehr Tarar, whom she accused of stalking her husband.

Uttarakhand CM discusses state issues with NITI Aayog members, satisfied with responses

New Delhi, Feb 08 (ANI): After meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other members of the NITI Aayog, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat on Sunday said that he discussed state issues with the Aayog. He said that he was satisfied with the positive response he got from the members and that he hoped for all the help from the centre for the development of the state.
