Request media not to make fun of our intentions: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday addressed his supporters after taking oath as Delhi Chief Minister at Ramlila Ground. Kejriwal requested media not to make fun of his party's intentions of whatever work they are doing. He said that media should not ask for any deadlines for his aim but assured that his party leaders and workers will work day and night to see Delhi at the position they always thought of. He also said that he wants to begin with ending VIP culture from Delhi itself.

Central and state govt can together give full statehood to Delhi: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday addressed his supporters after taking oath as Delhi Chief Minister at Ramlila Ground. Kejriwal said that he met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and told him that there can not be a better opportunity than this to give full statehood to Delhi as BJP has full majority in Centre and AAP has full majority in Delhi. He also laid stress on the issue of corruption saying that his party is confident of making Delhi a corruption free state.

Delhi will not tolerate attempts to communalise society: Kejriwal

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday addressed his supporters after taking oath as Delhi Chief Minister at Ramlila Ground. Kejriwal mentioned about the few incidents which had been giving a communal colour to Delhi, saying the people will not tolerate attempts to communalize society. He condemned the attacks on churches and recent vandalisation attempts. He also said that he wants to make Delhi corruption free.

Arvind Kejriwal takes charge as the Chief Minister of Delhi

New Delhi, Feb 14 (ANI): Aam Aadmi Party Chief Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday took charge as the Chief Minister of Delhi. Earlier in the day, he took oath as the 8th Chief Minister of Delhi at the Ramlila Maidan. He was administered the oath of office and secrecy by Delhi's Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung. Along with Kejriwal, six other Aam Aadmi Party leaders - Manish Sisodia, Asim Ahmed Khan, Sandeep Kumar, Satyendar Jain, Gopal Rai and Jitender Singh Tomar were also sworn-in as cabinet ministers. Kejriwal is expected to hold his first cabinet meeting at around 4 pm. This will be Kejriwal's second term as Delhi Chief Minister.
