India, Pakistan foreign secretaries meet in Islamabad

Islamabad, March 03 (ANI): Foreign Secretary S Jaishankar met with his Pakistani counterpart Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhury on Friday in Islamabad, seven months after India had cancelled Foreign Secretary-level talks. Jaishankar, who is on a visit to SAARC capitals, will also call on Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, and his foreign affairs advisors Sartaj Aziz and Tariq Fatemi during the day. Hit-and-run case: Salman Khan exempted from submitting driving licence

Mumbai, March 03 (ANI): A sessions court on Tuesday rejected the prosecution plea asking actor Salman Khan to produce driving licence in the infamous hit-and-run case. Earlier, a Regional Transport officer had deposed in court, saying that Khan did not possess a driving licence when his car met with an accident in 2002. Khan is accused of culpable homicide not amounting to murder in the hit-and-run case, a charge that carries a maximum penalty of ten years in prison.

New Delhi, March 03 (ANI): Reactions pour in on Tuesday as Delhi gang rape convict, Mukesh Singh blamed the victim for the fatal assault on her. In an interview from jail, Mukesh Singh who was sentenced to death on September 2013 has said, "A girl is far more responsible for rape than a boy." He also said that women who went out at night are to blame themselves if they drew attention from molesters or rapists. Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia questioned the media on the very necessity or reason of interviewing a convict. BJP leader Meenakshi Lekhi said that this clearly shows the mentality of the convict and proves that the decision taken by the court against him was right. World's largest and tallest Indian flag unfurled in Faridabad

Faridabad, Mar 3 (ANI): The largest and tallest Indian national flag was unfurled on Tuesday by BJP President Amit Shah at Town Park in Faridabad. It was hoisted at a height of 250 feet (75 meters), making it the largest and the highest hoisted Indian flag in the world. Another such flag is located at the Central Park in the heart of New Delhi.
